Atonement

Those of you who know me may recall that I embarrassed myself rather thoroughly a while back by starting a build thread on an old Maly Modelarz model that I believed at the time was a legal download, but turned out to be from a pirate site. I confess that I finished the model, now known as the "Tank of Shame," but I always felt bad about it. I visited MM's legitimate website and wanted to buy the CDs of past years which they offer, but could never get past the language barrier (even with Google Translate's assistance) and the fact that they only seemed to accept payment in Polish zloty. It finally occurred to me that Orlik carries other publishers' products and has reached out to English-speaking modelers. They were happy to deal with me, and today I received 16 MM CDs, very nicely packed, and have been joyfully browsing through the files all evening. Unfortunately, the CD that contains the Tank of Shame (1957-58) happened to be sold out, so I'm still stuck there, but I now have everything from 1959 to 1975 (except 1970; that one was sold out too). So, thanks to Orlik for salvaging my conscience. One of these days, if MM republishes, I'll pick up the other 2 CDs and complete the set. In the meantime, I have plenty of models to keep me busy whenever I'm in a MM mood.
