simulating rivets

Hello. I am looking for tips and tricks for simulating rivets. I tried using drops of white glue and was very excited by the result, while the glue was wet. BUT, when I came back to my project after a 10 minute break, the glue had settled and dried flat.



So I'm looking for ideas I appreciate any input.
