Just a quick intro post, I'm a nearing 40yo guy from Australia who is taking up the hobby of paper modeling. Spent some time on plastic model kits back in the day and am enticed by the paper modeling idea as there is no pesky painting to be done.
I've put together a few basic models so far, a large minecraft creeper (large being about 5 inches tall), a tiny minecraft steve measuring in at about 1.5 inches, an elite space station which is also small at about 1.5 inches also, and a spongebob which is about 2 inches tall.
I'm slowly coming to grips with the basic skill set required for paper modelling. Free hand cutting out templates with my exacto, reading the PDF plans and PDO files and working out how they fit together.
Current projects are a Nascar 2005 Jimmy Johnson car, a bender from futurama and a ghost from pac man.
Appreciate all the work the designers put in to these so down the line we can assemble them and place them on shelves.
