1/33 T6 Texan (Mk.III Harvard) SAAF Training School

This was a special request from a while back...

I've actually had the model done for some time, but I have been waiting on a prototype build.



I just got the report...and the start of some final build photos

so its time to release this one!



The South African Air Force has used Harvards/Texans since WW2, and only recently retired them after more than 50 years of service.

Primarily they have been used by the Central Training (Flying) School to train hundreds of SAAF pilots.



This is a well known version of the SAAF Training School aircraft, from about 1970.

There are still flying SAAF Harvards today, part of the SAAF Museum, with this paint scheme.
