F6F-3 HellCat Design by Marek (Size-Up)

Hi, This is my WIP pictures of F6F-3 HellCat by Marek. This Build are going to be (very) slow build :)

First, Honestly I don't know what scale my Size Up F6F-3 kit, all i know when i open(with foxit reader, page zoom 100%) and print the pdf file using 'Bullzip' and set the resolution to 600 dpi letter size...the jpg file came out 5100x6600(pixels).... Then i open it with GIMP.... And make a new image with 4100x5600 pixels, then i just cut n paste to the new sheet(image)..... Sooo there you go, scale?? What scale?... I have No Idea, LOL

and sorry for my poor quality Picts...

Here's my first Batch of Pictures. from the front

and... the back panel of Cockpit

from the top

....as ou can see the seat-belt looks stiff, i forget to crumpled(?)the paper.

The Wing, i made some cutting at the gun-bay section

I made the Ammo box from the pictures that i found in internet and the Guns is from Perry's Paper M1 Armored Car Kit. I resize it to fit inside the Gun-bay (not Glued yet) because i have to alter(cut) some section of the wing ribs for Gun Bay depth(?)

...and This when the "Fun" starts....at First, i was planning to build a folded wings with gun-bays...Yeeaaayy!! as you can see the red line. That line when Cut are exactly like the real thing...

so i Cut the wing rib....BUT... my skills are Not There yet, after several attempts involving a rubber, wires, blood, Sweat, etc ...

I decided to go with the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid) LOL!!...

-------------------------------------------------------------------

and also I decided to changes the Guns and Ammo box to more simpler and I'm Not going to alter the wing ribs, I just have to sanded it a bit... Simple guns and ammo boxes, made with cereal box :)

some parts...

I partially cut the 'main fuel' door so it can open/close

The ..eeemm, Fuel Tank part

and the Fuel Tank

That's All for now... Thanks for watching, sorry for my English

Best Regards,

Loui
