A year or so ago I downloaded the free 1/72 Putilov-Garford armored car kit from Paperpanzer.co.uk. It's about as basic a white model as you can get. It's more or less a 3D silhouette of an armored car. The model pieces are blank outlines with no hatches, doors, rivets, or other details. There are heavy dotted lines to indicate where to score, and where to attach the subassemblies. Glue tabs are hit and miss - some are there, some aren't. The illustrated instructions are great, though.
Since it's been rainy and miserable for the past couple of days, I decided to colorize and detail it. I thought it looked pretty good, so today I started to build it. I've assembled the first 3 pieces so far - a 2 piece chassis, and a 1 piece cab. It's tiny for me. What I have so far is 13/16 wide (21 mm), 2 7/8 long (75mm), 1 1/8 high (29mm).
So far the fit has been excellent. It's colored in a Russian military apple green hue, although it printed a little dark I think. Pics taken with a phone - better than my old camcorder stills. More to come....
