More (Local) Bad News

I really HATE finding stories like this; Firefighters battle large warehouse fire in East Rochester | WHEC.com The "warehouse" was the best, last remaining Model Railroad store in the area, Despatch Junction. There are still a couple of other good hobby stores left nearby, but nothing like this one. A large collection af back issue railroad magazines, model and prototype, a large operating demo layout, "junk" bags of items from people's private collections, many older kits, and generally many things you just couldn't find anywhere else, not to mantion the huge selection of model railroad itmes in all scales.



All destroyed. The building is a total loss.



My condolences to Stan, the owner. i'll miss the place.
