Tucker Torpedo 1948

I am looking for the Tucker Torpedo 1948. I have found a very basic one, but I also found a photo of this one, but I can not find the actual kit for it.

Ansaldo SVA-5 - Fiddlers Green - 1/100 - Papermodel

My new work in 1/100 scale. Ansaldo SVA- 5 of 87ª Esquadriglia Recognizone " La Serenissima" - Italy , 1918. This plane took part of D' Annunzio raid over Viena, a Word War I great adventure made with a squadron of SVA mono and biplace a non stop flying for bombing Viena with war propaganda. This petite model is made from a Fiddlers Green model. The textures are great, and 1/60 model (WSAM) made a basic for build a good SVA-5 in 1/48 or 1/33 scale, the weak of this models is a fact not have interior and missing some details like a glicol tank over upper wing and horizontal tail braces. But for 1/100 exercice is a very good model and easy to build.

Until the nexts!

1/50 Mark IX "Duck"

Not a tank in true sense of the work, the Mark IX was a purpose built armored personnel carrier (the first), and supply vehicle. Rather than design an entirely new "tank", the Mark IX was basically a stretched Mark V. Officially, it could hold 30 troops, or 10 tons of cargo. Ultimately, 34 of the vehicles were built with only a few completed before war's end. To test its amphibious abilities, a Mark IX was fitted with large pontoons along each side, and a smaller one at the front. Openings were sealed, bilge pumps were installed, and exhaust pipes were extended up above a "conning tower" which sat atop the hull. For propulsion, hinged paddles were affixed to the tracks. On November 11, 1918 (armistice day), the "Duck" was tested in Hendon Reservoir. After several minutes in the lake, the engine stalled, killing the bilge pumps. The vehicle started taking on a dangerous amount of water, and frantic signalling from the conning tower resulted in it being dragged to shore via ropes.

This is the first Wayne McCullough designed model I have ever built, and it's a honey. The fit of each and every part was perfect, and I encountered no difficulty during the build. Wayne obviously took into account the thickness of the paper in some of the parts. There is a disclaimer on the download page that the bounding box (whatever that is), is incorrectly sized on the parts page. Wayne's original model is 1/72 scale. I resized mine to 1/50, and did a Photoshop recolor to add dimensionality to the rivets. I used toothpicks and paper Q-tip shafts for all the stuff sticking up out of the conning tower. I wanted to show the paddles in their down position, and the only way I could do that was by elevating the model above its base. I textured the display base with green marble, hoping that it would also read subliminally as water.

It's a dark and dreary rainy day today, so the photos are a bit grainy from the low light.

Oh, I almost forgot. Landships II hosts the model, and it can be found here Landships II

Vought A-7E Corsair II, 1:60

USS George Washington

After test build of the Nimitz class and I found several defect. The model has been corrected to facilitate the global modelers. Actually, I hope that the model can fulfill the demand of the 1/350 modelers who enjoy this aircraft carrier at this scale.

I use the usual method that we lightly make the leadguide folding line on the paper before we cut the parts from the card. This common method help you get the sharp curve at the folding of the corner eadge.

Sorry for my poor English composition but I hope you will soon enjoy this big ship.

Nobi (Thaipaperwork) Hawker Hurricane Mk.II

Hello everyone!

It has been a long time since I post in the forum, so let's start again shall we?

Hawker Hurricane Mk.II
1/100 scale
Designed by Nobi (Thaipaperwork)
Free model at ecardmodels.com

A build that kick-started because of a friendly challenge in a Facebook group, 'build a 1/100 model challenge!' and here is my submission for that particular event ;)

A quick and fun kit to build, just make sure that you shape the former well and align the parts precisely (especially for parts with double side print such as the wheel well doors, the tailwheel, etc), and you can have a beautiful model in your collection!

I mainly build its bigger brother size of 1/33 scale, but when the wifey looks at this model and said 'how cute!', I think...I have a future in this scale
