Tank Grote

Sergei Kamotsky has produced a 1:50 model of the Tank Grote a 1931 Soviet experimental tank - find it at: http://ift.tt/2mchDip - scroll down to the image of the cover (click) the download link is to the right of the enlarged image.

What you'll get is 10 .jpgs - if you want 1:50 you'll need to do a bit of fiddling with them to get them to print properly. The .jpg exif data on my Mac says the images are 72 ppi - they aren't - a ppi of 165 seems to produce an image which is correct for A4 printing.

The Grote tank was designed by the German engineer Grote (surprise) who was employed by the Soviet authorities to design a replacement tank for the T-24. The tank was very advanced and proved to be too expensive to produce so it remained a prototype only. If you examine the design I think the Grote tank would have been superior to most early WW2 tanks.

Regards,

Charlie
