I wanted to share my new design of an orc settlement. After seeing and building so many human buildings I was looking for something new and a little fantasy. Of course it is grounded in historical human buildings so you could also see it as an stone age or dino hunter village!
I have collected my thoughts on the design in this little article here on my site if you are interested in this "behind-the-scenes" thing.
So the basic shape will be looking like this. It's a hex shaped building for a change and features this dangerous looking spiked roof. Orc and dino hunters (or other barbarians) have lots of enemies, so they need defenses wherever they can work them in :)
Another variation of this is what I imagine the chief of the tribes hut!
I have some more variations again on my site.
In the next days I will be working on texturing these so that they come to life (so to speak)!
