Following the death of my mother, I decided to start building a new model to take my mind off things. I've wanted to do something different for a while and decided to try the GPM Ciagnik C4P. The difference is that this is a mixed media model with paper, wood and metal wire as components. This is all new to me. Plus, the instructions are in Polish, so... more fun. There are one or two completed builds online that I am using as guides and Google's translation is good enough for government work.
The Polish Wikipedia describes the C4P as a "Polish półgąsienicowy artillery tractor from the period before World War II." I'm guessing the "półgąsienicowy" means something like "super-awesome" or possibly "half-track".
This is a medium difficulty model. Just like at Hertz, I get automatically downgraded one level when I'm building it. Down the road, I'll have to make some choices whether to finish the vehicle as a tractor, a trailer or a truck.
Here are some pictures. The last picture shows a bamboo shish-kabob skewer that exactly fits the dimensions of the front chassis bar which I have painted flat matte black (Testor).
