Hello and happy belated new year gentlemen!
It's been awhile since last time i did any major papermodeling project, i could say 2017 is not particularly productive in terms of papermodeling.
However, i have done some minor works and modification to my older models particularly the A6M3 Mod 32 Zero: http://ift.tt/2mbQ6fD
For comparison, this is the model in its original state:
As i have said in the previous thread this models is impressively detailed despite it's simplicity and certainly hold a lot of potentials. I'm somewhat regretted that it only went as far as quick build,so i've started to add more details and revisions.
And so, here's how it looks now:
First major job is to cut and replace the canopy and add a scracth built cockpit, my cockpit was mostly made from flat photo texture so i decided to make the canopy closed, glass were made from envelope transparencies
Next i filled and sanded smooth the spinner, props are available on the download site as extra, along with landing gears. painted all of them silver, black on props back side and red tip markings.
I cannot make full recessed wheel bays since its place had been used for wing spar, i simply paited the well black and added landing gear with some added details
Last major addition was the centerline drop tank which was made from rolled paper (similar to prop spinner but double sided), filled, sanded and paited silver. fitted to aircraft centerline by scratchbuilt hardpoint
small additional works include antenna mast and lead made of stretched sprue, tailwheel and extra paint chipping
Hope you like the work, see you on the next build!
