Marek Marathon - Hurricane Mk 1A (1:50)

Hello!

Having a brake from my B-737 design (and having my Mrs. on holiday) I decided to do Marek's Hurricane Mk 1A;)

I am always after airliners and transport planes, but decided to do my little tribute for those who fought in II World War.

I decided to do something nice, not complicated which I can finish (I hope?!) in a few days.

Here is the model as it comes from the printer (ecardmodels download) and first steps...

Greetings All!

Hello everybody. My name is Dennis and I live in Northeast Ohio. Just wanted to say what a cool site this is and a big thanks and "well done" to all the modelers who post here. The work I've seen is fantastic. I have been into modeling for as long as I can remember. Mostly plastic and balsa. Thought I would try my hand at a different medium. I must say it takes a completely different skill set to work in card and paper. I downloaded Alan Rose's DC3 and printed out on my home printer on letter sized cardstock. Figured I would try this before getting Kinkos or Staples to print it on larger stock. One problem I'm having is ink bleed from the Elmers glue. Tried the Tacky Glue but don't like the short work time. Wondered if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Another Newbie

Hi,

I just registered with this forum. I am getting back into paper modeling which I have done a lot as a child. Recently it just hit me, so I took out some old czech paper modell and started to cut…*Soon, I ended up scanning the internet and was surpised by the development that has been going on over the last 20 or so years. I found a lot of experts in this craft! And I found this forum which I hope to use in the near future, and to enrich in the far future ;-)

Software Package for Designers

I came across this special in my regular Tiger Direct mailings.

(For PC parts and other Electronic items, I don't think you can do any better than TigerDirect.

Cheapest prices, best stuff, online shopping, retail stores, lots of great deals and specials, very low cost or free shipping

...I recommend TigerDirect first to all my friends.)

Anyway, this special offer of a Software "Suite" is a current Deal Slasher.

And it includes some Draw and Paint programs

as well as Office programs and a PDF creator.

Theres even a Font package included.

Buy the Complete Software Suite 50884 at TigerDirect.ca

Only issue is....this is TigerDirect.ca (CANADA website)

I'm sure anyone can log in and purchase from this site.

items are all shipped from the US.

But there is a US site...with a similar software package.

Not exactly the same though...doesn't have the Office elements

or the PDF software.

But...its free.

Family Software Suite Deluxe On DVD - Corel® Office, Corel VideoStudio® X6, DrawPlus® X6, PagePlus® X7, PhotoPlus® X6, WebPlus® X6, SOS Online Backup And Many More - 50871 at TigerDirect.com

I still think the Canada offer is a good one...if you are looking for a software

package to get you started with designing your own digital Paper models?

Still a n00b

Hey All,

Still pretty new to the pep world. I've assembled a helmet so far, but am still working on the "finishing" process. Not sure how well I can contribute to those looking for pep help, but I've got lots of experience modifying toys, and I suppose that could be helpful as well :)

Thanks

Contest is held on the same weekend as the Balloon Races and is held a block away from the National Championship Air Races. Races start the following week but you can wander on the flight line during the contest to see T-6s, Migs and lots of other displays. You can get more info at http://ift.tt/1ncIHVI

Very appreciative

Thank you for the terrific site and what looks like a very supportive community. In 1989, a friend surprised me with a fully assembled Alan Rose DC-3. It's been a proud decoration in several of my offices and returned to the walls of my home a few years ago. Yesterday, I took it down and began re-gluing a few spots and wondered if the book might still be available. A few web searches led me to your site and the wonderful download created by one of your members with the author's kind permission. I have no idea whether I have the patience and drive to assemble the model. But just knowing there are others who cared enough to preserve it was a wonderful discovery. So: a quick word of thanks and my heartfelt appreciation.

Three Days work.

Took three days to finish this model 1/144 scale HGUC NZ-999 Neo Zeong. Almost 34 inches tall!
