I have messed with KitKat for the past month or so and I must say it's waste of time. There is absolutely nothing that it offers that I don't get on my 4.3 custom Rom. In fact I get much more let me give you an idea, because I have flashed several different KitKat rom's and nothing compares to rooted LiguidSmooth v2.37
I average 2,000 better benchmark scores with LS, battery life is much better, there is no comparison to the battery life I get with LS vs Kitkat it's double in fact. The launcher with Kitkat is average at best and having another launcher is a must for me. In most cases there is little to none customization with KitKat. What is the sense of a custom rom if there is no customization?
I have tried CM11, Gummy, SlimKat, Omni, BeanStalk, and a few others Gummy being the best of the bunch in my opinion. Like Jay I am tired of messing around so unless something just slaps me in the face I have lost interest. If I'm missing something I don't know what.
Right now I'm on cruise control with LiquidSmooth and would highly recommend this rom to anyone sporting a Android. There are builds for many devices.
