Un-verison verison blackberry

A friend gave me a Verizon 8330 Blackberry Curve and I was wondering what or if I can hack it so I can get us cellular service. Here in eastern NC Verizon don't have many towers, us cellular has towers all over the place, can I hack this and get us cellular service on it?
