The past five years I have received a daily blog called The "Gentle Author - The Spitalfields Life" (thanks to Mike Stamper). Each day there is an interesting article and many old photos of life in the Spitalfield East End area of London.
Today a new series was started entitled "A Model of London 1840". Two fellows working from old maps and photos are building this model,which will take almost a year. Even though this is not a paper model, probably wooden, it should be an interesting project for all model lovers. I know some of you have built models of villages and small towns. The houses are going to be the size of Monopoly houses. Check out this link .
