Palace garden of Schwetzingen: the mosque

Hi all,
some days ago I was with my family in the palace garden of Schwetzingen. Schwetzingen is located in Germany between Heidelberg and Mannheim and is a small town, which is on the one hand known for its delicious asparagus in springtime, on the other hand for the summer residence of the elector of Pfalz.
There is a nice summer palace with a great beautiful garden, which follows two garden models: The strictly geometrical French gardens and the playful English landscape gardens.
In this garden are several buildings: an orangery, a Mercury temple, a temple of Apollo, the sovereigns bathhouse and a 'mosque'. This is modeled on oriental motifs but is not an active mosque in the religious sense.
But the building is beautifully integrated into the landscape garden and there is this mosque as a cardboard sheet.
I bought the kit at the checkout for 11 EUR, it consists of 6 pages with components and multiple pages with drawings and instructions in German and English, plus photos and information about the model. The scale is 1: 160, designer is Helmut Raschewski.
Graphics are photorealistic, the model is not very extensive, but it seems to give a beautiful model.

See some pictures of the kit and the mosque in Schwetzingen.

Regards
Dieter
