I've had this project going for a while (Christmas 2013!) and just haven't gotten around to posting anything. It's the first time that I've used laser cut frames and I may never go back to cutting them myself! So far everything has fit the way it's supposed to fit.
The hull above the waterline is kind of odd. It's two layers with the bottom layer in larger square-ish pieces and the top layer being long, narrow strips. I've been over-analysing it for a while, but I think I've figured out a decent way to apply the strips. That, however, is for the next posting.
