I drank the Paper Kool-aid

Hello all, I'm new... "Hi New". No, I'm Greg.

Anyway, I drank the paper-modeling "kool-aid" a little over a year ago.

I stumbled on a paper-model of the Golden-Gate bridge on my honeymoon, many years ago and bought it. Then, just a year or so ago, I decided to put it together. While building, curiosity touched me and I Googled "paper models" - what returned blew my mind.

I've now put together a few: a Dora (yup, got kids), the Notre Dame cathedral (from Canon), a Millenium Falcon, the Neuschwanstein castle (from Canon), and a Coast Guard boat. My current project is the Cinderella Castle from the Disneyexperience website.

I have so many questions (and kids) and have so little time to be on here. I'm already experimenting with different weights of paper, using transparency, investigating small-scale lighting, looking at different types of markers for "touch-up", methods for preservation, and I think I'm going to need a wide-format printer. How do I get mats, blades, and special tools without having to go into the "scrap booking" section? j/k

Anyway, I hope you'll have me as a member. :)
