Public Service Announcement for all! Don't fall for it.

Phone call I answered this morning is stupid caller of the day:

Caller ID says "Unknown Caller"



Caller (heavy Indian accent): Hello sir, is (wife's name) available?



Me: What is this in regards to?



C: Well sir, we have been receiving notifications that your computer is infected with viruses, malware and trojan horses. We need to connect to your computer to help remove all of it.



M: *maniacally laughing*



C: Sir! Why are you laughing?! This is a very serious matter!



M: Why am I laughing? Because I am not a gullible uninformed person. I know you, your call, is a SCAM! I know that I don't have anything installed on my computer that would send anyone or any company reports of computer infections. I know how to resolve all my computer problems if I were to ever get infected with anything. I can install and remove any software or hardware without needing to have some random caller call my house claiming to call me to provide assistance.
