Israeli air force is taking delivery of a new trainer to replace their aging TA-4 Skyhawks. This one is made by the Italian company Aermacchi and carries the designation of the M-346.
Not sure why they elected to use the Lavi name ( meaning Lion in Hebrew ), since it was used on the 1980's prototype fighter design based on the F-16 having a delta wing with canards.
In any case, it is an attractive looking plane and is similar in appearance to the Yak-130.
I would like to see if there is any design for this pane in IAF colors ( so far it is plain grey ). Please make it large in 1/33 or 1/32 scale though.
