My Little White Slab

About 12 years ago my wife and I looked at each other and said "Cell Phones? Never. We think it's a luxury."

This morning, the alarm went off on my little white slab (Galaxy S3) and woke me up; I checked it for messages; I checked it for current temperature and weather conditions. I looked outside and snapped a picture of the beautiful sunrise, then used it to post the picture on Facebook. The calendar popped up a couple of reminders (Grandchildren coming this afternoon; don't eat "crap" today). I sat down with my coffee and wrote/read some notes on the Documents to Go ap, then worked for a couple of minutes on a spreadsheet I'm writing to figure average speed on a bicycle ride. I took a couple of minutes to look at some pictures of our newest Grandchild, Damon. Then I looked for the location and some reviews of the Hotel Indigo in Dallas, Texas, getting ready for a trip there in a couple of weeks. The next 30 minutes were spent reading the news at news.yahoo.com. until I got up to drive to church; where I used a cool Guitar Tuner ap to tune my Gibson, and played a couple of videos of songs we are doing this morning to remind me how they sound.

See? 12 years ago we were right!! I didn't make or receive one single telephone call this morning.
