Hi (and a happy new year to all)!
I've just finished a new model, Pařan and Rawen's littoral combat ship USS Independence.
I've altered the kit only ever so slightly - stiched together several parts for ease of construction, changed the colours (sorry, but I couldn't live with baby blue! ;) ), added a wee bit of interior to the hangar, opened up the mast, plus a few other modifications.
...oh yes ...and I've rescaled it to 1:1250...
The helo netting is made from lasercut ladders (draf model, 1:200, 2.2x1.4 mm), and while I was at it, I also added some PE railing from Tom's Modelworks.
The waterbase is made from watercolour paper, floor wax and acrylic gel - more or less according to Jim Baumann.
