Here is my first posting of an actual model, paper shipwrights, Queen of the Isle. took me about 6 month with life getting in the way of modeling. I hope you like it . Not to the standard of some of you but I try to improve a bit with each model.
Thing I learnt on this was. Yes I can make open stair at that scale. Super glue doesn't stick to sellotape. the railing template works really well when you glue it to plywood to stop it bending, and 36g wire works better than cotton. finally after 4 attempts if you make the funnel former first then the skin and push them together you don't get lumpy funnels. Whats next the kids want the Titanic but the wife doesn't a meter+ long model in the lounge room when I am building it, so might have to be the JCS but 1:400, I have enough trouble at 1:250.:)
