I just started experimenting with cyanoacrylate as a way to prevent the cardstock from delaminating when I cut very fine details. This morning, I made this railing for the balcony of Clever Models' Hotel Bruce, which I'm building at N scale.
My Blog Entry on Cyanoacrylate
The little trick I thought up works pretty well -- I hold the piece in my Helping Hands tool, saturate it with thin super glue on the back, twist the clamp around so the wet side is facing down, and place a steaming cup of water underneath. The moisture from the rising steam sets the cyano fairly quickly.
If I don't do this, I get pieces stuck to my fingers. (It still happens, but less often.)
