Hi there,
Can`t seem to find the thread...there`s me losing the thread again !
But somewhere on here, somebody is converting card models to depron flying models...
Well here`s my spin on this subject,
I sometimes scratch build, other times repaint, other times just straightaway convert cardies to foamies...
My way around things is print on to tissue paper (which is temporarily spray mounted to regular paper)
Then cut out the tissue parts and permanently spray mount the parts to 2mm polystyrene wall foam
Engines and fittings are usually standard paper modelling, bearings are tissue paper/PVA tubes, Struts can be Balsa, Card or Carbon fibre...
Here`s some results...
Oh by the way, my Martinsyde Elephant is still flying very well !
Pic 1,2 and 3 are an RAF FE8 pusher fighter, (Kampflieger), which i repainted and modded a bit (Cheers Roman) 20 inch wingspan radio control.
4 and 5 are a Airco DH4 Rubber powered model (My design) again 20 inch wingspan.
And finally, direct from ecard models, the superb Pfalz DIIIa Matt77 repaint..
16 inch wingspan rubber power...
Cheers
