Whilst waiting for Wayne to finish his 6" Howitzer, I thought that I would see if his previous gun would fit the Gun Carrier. Whilst not accurate for this application, it certainly fits the bill for filling the space at the front of the Carrier.
Anyway, I took the Howitzer provided with the Compton Emplacement Destroyer and enlarged it to 1/48th scale. I added some detail to the breach and recouperator from slivers of card and rod.
The barrel is reinforced with a section of aluminium tube.
Carriage assembled as per instructions with some additions from card and axles from tube and rod. I have painted mine green to provide some contrast to the brown of the Carrier and to hide all of the additions.
