Hello, I am seeking some guidance in rescaling the Marek Stearman to 1/16 scale from the current scale of 1/50. I have read and re read Leif’s fine thread regarding his rescale of the Rickenbacker Spad and will be using his process to enlarge the Steadman. I have opened the PDF and discovered the native dpi is 300. Setting the dpi to 600 will give me 1/25. My question is what dpi setting increase when returned to 300 will yield 1/16.
I should say that besides the obvious condition of being math challenged I have a passion for Stearman trainers. I was at the National Stearman Fly-in in Galesburg Il, the first week of August and the bug has hit me again. I like the Marek planes however even using fairies and the dark arts I doubt I could construct the engine in this kit at 1/50. I am also between work spaces as we moved into our new home and my printer, tools and supplies are in boxes likely until the end of October. I have turned to this project as a way to keep my interests alive while waiting for the electrician, plumber, flooring and carpet people to begin. Thanks for any assistance and if you are watching Leif, what is your move to place an individual page onto the expanded page you create. I was able to make it happen while experimenting with the Tiger Moth however I quick attempt with the Stearman plopped the move into the middle of the page forever frozen in that location.
