Murph's Models - Startlifter C-141 NASA, 1/200

Aaron's Starlifter C-141 NASA, quite unlike the previous one
http://ift.tt/1HDPam6, is a mostly white model, a flying
observatory. Its original scale is 1/87 and I have downscaled
it to 1/200 for space saving. Photoprint paper is used when
making this model. I like the glossy effect on photoprints.

I have put in add-on, like a up/down sliding door on the fuselage
with a telescope. As a result of overuse of CA glue when
installing the telescope, the sliding door is now jammed.
The telescope is extended on purpose so that we can see it, though
not exactly similar to the real thing.

Anyway, the pics are posted for your view.

6ft Gundam

So, I may have bitten off far more than I can chew, but I'll see how things go. I noticed on Paper Replika. com that someone has upscaled a Unicorn Gundam x5. So, I've downloaded the files (the easy bit in any build), and have printed out the head and started to build. To give a sense of scale here, the head is 18 A4 sheets of parts, the legs, for example, are a total of 129 A4 sheets of parts. This is going to consume a forest ! Luckily the mech is broken down into sections so I'll print each section at a time - torso next once head finished. If worst comes to worst I could construct it as a bust model and add the waist and legs etc later on.
If I ever finish the whole thing I have no idea where to put it in our house !, plus our cat will most probably take exception to it and shred it anyway.
Beware - papermodelling is bad, bad, bad ! ;)

Outside my window

Ok, so last evening I'm sitting in my lounge papermodelling (nothing new there!), when I hear an aircraft close by. At first I thought it was a helicopter of some type, but the sound wasn't quite right. So, I take a look out of my front window and here's a WWII Dakota with D-day stripes on the wings flying passed !
I love having an RAF base (RAF Lossiemouth) 5 miles from my house !:):)

Just Saying Hi

Hi All, KC from the UK, love card modelling, specifically Ships and some of the more interesting Sci-Fi models.
